The special feature of the Italian marriage law is the existence of the so-called concordat marriage, which operates on the basis of the Lateran Conventions and which is one of the products of the relationship between the Vatican and the Italian Republic. In my research, I present the history of the development of concordat marriage and its function in ecclesiastical law and in the law of the Italian state. I detail the steps and conditions of marriage, and then I give a summary of the past, present and future of the concordat marriage. |
