Tartalmi kivonat:During a 3 year period endocervical swabs from 90 infertile and 180 control women were examined Chlamydia trachomatis specific and serotypes specific antibody titres were determined from sera samples with indirect IF and microIF methods. At examination women were interviewed about their education, social condition, sexual behaviours C. trachomatis was isolated on McCoy cell in 87 of infertile and 48 of control women. Highly positive 1:128 IgG titres were found in 27 cases of infertile women, and in 31 cases of the control group. The D, G and I serotypes were dominant. Most of the infertile women and controls belonged to the age group of 25-30 years 67.8% of the infertile women lived in good social condition. The number of C. trachomatis positive, infertile women graduated from university was more than double compared to the controls. The beginning of sexual life and the number of sexual partners were similar in both groups. The number of positive cases increased with the number of sexual partners. C. trachomatis cases were more aboundant in young women, that in women > 25 years.
