Tartalmi kivonat:During my years in the educational system I several times experienced that students often learn inefficiently. This motivated me to search for more information about the theory of efficacy and to do research on students' effectiveness. First of all the learning process was examined, including general notions in connection with efficiency, such as learning strategies and learning techniques, the use of which largely helps in effective learning. Some learning styles influences the efficiency of learning. The differences between different ages also has an impact on efficacy. The research was carried out on three age groups, each presenting primary and secondary schools, and higher education students, respectively. The method of examination used was questionnaires, which tested the students' motivation, learner styles, time management, their opinion about efficiency and the ways they use in language learning. The results are analysed according to the different groups. The results of the questionnaires show how much the students are aware of their learning and the strategies and techniques they use, although the results do not unambiguously support that most learners are inefficient.
