Tartalmi kivonat: | In my work I would like to show one possibility of literature teaching in primary schools. Through Dickens' novel Oliver Twist, I showed my students a special side of dealing with a text. I applied a technique of how to introduce a literary work with the help of story-telling and other approaches. The literature review relies on my knowledge what I read from methodological books and articles about reading strategies, techniques, stories, and games. With the help of them I developed my teaching strategy. The second part is about the introduction of the story. I focused my attention on the main parts of the novel; I did not deal with subplots, to make understanding easier. I also took my students' vocabulary and grammar into consideration. The activities were made and discussed at the beginning of the year. They helped in review before continuing the learning process. The introduction took three weeks. At the end of the process my students filled out a test and a questionnaire. I analysed them in order to improve my technique and make it more suitable for application in other classes and with other works. |
