| Tartalmi kivonat: | This thesis is about teaching English with authentic materials,with special attention to teaching with the Internet. It consists of two main parts. The first section, the theoretical background briefly discusses the current language teaching situation in Hungary with special attention to authentic materials. Besides, it summarizes the major characteristics of authentic materials and compare them to artificial ones. It also mentions the possible motivating effect of authentic materials then a particular auhtentic material, the Internet is presented. The second part presents my personal experiences and the results of questionnaires and tests filled in by learners. Based on the findings of my research I will prove that an Internet classroom generates positive effect on learners' motivation and it helps them to be moreeffective in language learning. |
