Tartalmi kivonat: | The article is devoted to the study of the specifics of quotation attachments as a syncretic way of transferring other people’s speech on the material of Stepan Protsiuk’s psychologically biographical novel The rose of ritual pain. Being a kind of free direct speech, quotation attachments are italicized fragments that refer the reader to folklore sources, works of art, Christmas carols and prayers. 24 text units representing different numbers of quotation fragments (from 1 to 7) were analyzed. Quotation attachments are a component of the modemist principle for addressing the psyche of the characters. They provide additional linguistic and stylistic material to create a psychological portrait of the protagonist of the novel -Vasyl Stefanyk, and help to establish intertextual dialogic interaction. |
