Tartalmi kivonat:In my paper I review the international legal background of medical law and in particular medical research on humans, with special emphasis on the international codification of bioethics, starting from the Nuremberg Code up to the present day. I analyse the documents of international medical law in relation to the international codification of bioethics, their content with special regard to their obligatory and recommended regulations. The topic is significant for the following reasons: – Based on the estimate of WHO (World Health Organisation) 90% of biomedical research aims at treating illnesses and conditions affecting less than 10% of the world’s population. – From 1 May 2004 until January 2016 in 27 member states of the European Union 27.779 clinical trials have been registered. From among these 3.382 have been registered in Hungary (based on EU Clinical Trial Register, Art.57. Reg(EC) No 726/2004.). Based on this ascertainment in certain sections of my paper I would like to examine the relating operations and tasks of the World Health Organisation (WHO) in connection with international medical law, as well as the aspects of the European Commission’s Europe 2020 program for supporting “good health”, from the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
