Tartalmi kivonat: | Our current criminal justice system’s most significant and most controversial problem is the timeliness of criminal procedure. The criminal justice system commits the greatest sin if it leaves crimes without answer for years. The principle of fair trial not only expects creating assurances from the legislature, but it demands that crimes and impeachments don’t take leave of each other. So, the timeliness of criminal procedure is an ultimate requirement for any criminal justice system. In my paper, I focus the Act XIX of 1998 on Criminal Procedure and try to point out the problems of this act, and after that I draw up my proposals for the solution. Primary, I’m looking for the answer of whether the Act XIX of 1998 on Criminal Procedure ensures the requirement of promptness and – all at once – the rule of law. |
