Tartalmi kivonat: | Even though the recognition and protection of human rights appeared in international law in the middle of the 20th century, an effective protection system for the human right to a healthy environment exists neither at the international nor at the European level. The initiatives aiming at regulating the right to a healthy environment as a whole, and not only its procedural aspects as for example in the Aarhus Convention, have met with no success until now. This article examines the chances for regulating partial rights of the right to a healthy environment, for example the right to water. Thereby, it presents a possible protection system for the right to a healthy environment at the European level from the perspective of an EU citizen, taking into account European tendencies such as the “Right2Water” European Citizens’ Initiative on the one hand, and efforts of the UN with reference to the right to water on the other hand. |
