Bad integration can often prevent successful completion of the job. Integration is extremely important in the case of special operations. During the Gulf War the lack of integration resulted a disastrous combat search and rescue efficiency, but some seven years later during the Operation Nobel Anvil, the tides turned, and the Pararescue units had a perfect rescue efficiency. In my paper, I take a look at why failed to properly integrate US Pararescue units into JSOC during the Gulf War and to try to change it during the Operation Noble Anvil during the Yugoslav War. |
