Tartalmi kivonat:In the past years, following the passing of the new Constitution, the legal boundaries of exercising the freedom of religion and conscience, and the right to assembly have changed considerably.Spiritual movements can become non-governmental organizations (NGO) – society, civilian partnership, foundation – or internal ecclesiastic legal entities according to the new legal framework. An ecclesiastic legal entity can establish an NGO (foundation), but an NGO is not allowed to establish an ecclesiastic legal entity. From the financial point of view internal ecclesiastic legal entities have the same subsidy opportunities as public interest NGO-s. Most of the ecclesiastic subsidies are paid indirectly, via the ecclesiastic centre to the ecclesiastic legal entity. The state provides active subsidy (subsidy financed from personal income tax) to both types of entities and some passive subsidies, like subjective tax benefits, grantor’s benefits and voluntary activity.
