Tartalmi kivonat: | At the beginning of the 13th Century the uprising of the Mongolian Empire was a determining factor in the history of Central Asia and the Horezmian Empire, which lived its golden age at this time. The two examined Asian empires had common borders from the 1210s, because of this they became interested in each other. The formal reason of the attack against the Horezmian Empire was the incident in Otrar in 1218, in which the traders from the territory of the Great Khan were slaughtered by the order of the governor of Otrar. The Muslim resources mosdy from that era (for e.g.: Juvaini, an — Nasawi, Ibn-al-athir) usually mediate a different view in the judgement of the circumstances of the Mongolian raid. From the view of the ideology at the Mongolian Empire, the raid against the Horezmian Empire was the raid of the Great Khan Who reigned due to the will of the Sky against those who worked against His wish. The fall of the Horezmian Empire was caused besides the conflicts of the different dynasdes and branches of Muslim religion, by the excellent Mongolian intelligence service, which realised these weaknesses, and made advantages from them. The empire of the Hvarezmian sultan collapsed during a few years, but occupying the whole area of the Horezmian Empire took more time from the Mongolians. |
