Tartalmi kivonat: | Ugocsa county was the centre of the provincial power of the Borsa clan and also the centre of their uprising. Kopasz, one of the Borsa clan was appointed as comes of Ugocsa in 1288. The members of the clan did not relinquish the county, but they were able to regain it only at the beginning of Charles I's reign. In 1307 the king conferred Szőlős to Веке who built there a castle to secure his power which was also strengthened by the local nobility. The power of the Borsa clan decreased after their rebellion against the king in 1314-1315. The uprising was initiated by Kopasz and he was joined by his brother, Веке. Szőlős and its castle were captured by Tamás Jánki, the chief of the royal army. After the successful siege, he was appointed as comes by Charles I and began to reorganize the life of the county. The king kept an eye on Ugocsa after these happenings and the Borsa clan's power was destroyed after their second rebellion. |
