| Summary: | Ukrainian sports terminology has not received proper justification. The language used in shooting sports is not well studies and considerably more difficult than the jargon of other sports. The article is devoted to an analysis of the conditions and common problems in the development of a terminological system in shooting sports. The formation of these athletics phraseology is studied, as well as the difficulties of translations of these linguistic systems in the Ukrainian vocabulary is investigated. Based on the analysis of the material used for this article, it is concluded that the process of formation of shooting sports terminology has had five periods. The article identifies the productive ways of creating terminology at the present stage and describes the main sources of replenishment and development of sports vocabulary. Furthermore, the basic requirements which should be observed when sports shooting terms are placed in appropriate systems are formed. |
