| Tartalmi kivonat: | In the first part of my study I aim to outline the history, inherent relations and operational principles of the press of Southern Hungary at the age of dualism; since the history of the newspapers of Magyarkanizsa cannot be properly investigated in the lack of the cognition of this context. In the second part, a brief description about the emergence of the press of Magyarkanizsa is followed by the analysis of the public life background of the publications. My purpose is to present how the newspapers relate to the participants determining the more and more civilian local public life, the functionaries, the city government as well as the civilian and cultural sphere. Finally, I touch upon the publication and analysis of the yellow-press articles serving commercial aspects (increasing the number of readers and the reading of the papers, and in parallel with that, enhancing income) necessary for independence, as well as the dissection of the economic background emerging behind the publications, based on the content- and statistical analysis of the commercials and other contributions published in the journals. |
