Tartalmi kivonat:Taken into consideration the analyzed papers, it can be claimed that although conservative papers strongly opposed the European Revolutions, they did not deny all the achievements. Liberty of the press was especially important for them. Achieving this goal was welcome in every state including the States of Germany, Monarchy of France, and Hungary. The two Hungarian conservative papers had different attitude towards the Revolution. Budapesti Hiradó was more moderate. It wanted to slow down the vehemence of the events, members insisted on respecting the legal requirements, while Nemzeti Ujság started supporting the opposition and using their motto and claim. They did not question the legitimacy of the new regime, and warned people not to become even more radical.
