Tartalmi kivonat: | The study provides an overview of the domestic and international (European) development of the legal framework of career counselling, and formulates a proposal to regulate the field by law. Hungarian career counselling dates back a long time, with a gradual evolvement of its regulatory law. By the second half of the last century the legal background of domestic career fully developed. As a result of a governmental decision taken in 1971, a modern career counselling network was established in Hungary. This well-functioning national advisory system, unfortunately, gradually eroded after a decade. International law does not set out clear standards for career counselling. However there are legally relevant documents and resolutions primarily made by the European Union. So each country is given a wide margin to develop and operate career counselling. The creation and implementation of a properly prepared and professionally wellestablished career counselling law would bring an epochal step forward in the development of Hungarian career counselling. It could properly integrate the elements of previous legal regulations which could still be utilized, and so it would provide some framework and program for our future career counselling. |
