| Tartalmi kivonat: | On the next pages we introduce the demographic specificity of the city of Hódmezővásárhely concentrating on the first half of the 20th century. To understand more easily and because of the Usefulness of the comparative method, two other cities, Kecskemét and Szeged and in several times the national demographic indicators helped our analysys. The main part of these is from the publications of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office. In the paper we have analyzed the changes of the total population of Hódmezővásárhely and the efect of the migration. After the demographic trends we have showed the demographic indicators (live ^Mhs, mortality and natural increase) between 1910 and 1949. Self-made tables helped our study. Last but not least we have introduced the effect of the world wars to the demography of Hódmezővásárhely. From these aspects it was determined that in this period the population development of Hódmezovásárhely sticked in, the population was stagnated. |
