| Tartalmi kivonat: | My main research field is the constructions in Pécs and in the towns of South Transdanubia. In my essay I discuss about the history of the construction of the largest residential area in Pécs, which is also the largest residenetial area of the region. In the essay I highlight the antecedent of this huge construction and why Kertváros was chosen in 1968 and from what plans and conceptions could the council choose. I also would like to provide an overview about first period of the constructions of this district (Megyeri-Kertváros) based on contemporary sources (press and plan documentations). Based on the documents, I would like to present what kind of difficulties had to go over the inhabitants who lived relatively far from the city. Finally, I write about the sorts of the houses built in this district. |
