| Tartalmi kivonat: | The globalization, the spread of internet and telecommunication have accelerated the commerce and fundamentally changed it. Due to this, the leaders had been located in a more complex business environment which hided significantly more unexpected situation and extraordinary task. Consequently, if the leaders want to succeed in this atmosphere then they could not rely solely on their knowledge. Thus, the research, recognition and development of competencies gained an increasing role in the management science. The aim of this article is to summarise the criteria, ability and skills of a successful leader based on international literature review and results of researches. Furthermore, it summarises the evolution of global leadership competencies which is divided into four categories created by the authors of the article: rudimentary global leadership competencies, period of lists, era of pyramid and age of guidance. |
