Tartalmi kivonat: | First time in the History during the Spanish Civil War children were evacuated abroad organized by the Republican Spanish Government because of the bombings and hunger. The story of the „niños” is often overlooked amid the myriad horrors of the three-year long conflict. In the history books that were written about the civil war children are hardly mentioned however they were also victims of Franco as well as other people. Although most of the children had been repatriated by the start of the Second World War, a few hundred remained because their parents were either dead, imprisoned or had started new lives abroad, or because of political reasons. This is a forgotten generation without a country or a family they can belong to. |
