Tartalmi kivonat:This communication is the result of the author's studies in the Library named Saltykov-5<*edrin in Leningrad. There were made inquiries for the biography of the author of the first Selkup spelling-book, N.P. GRIGOROVSKY. The sources were the lexicons, GRIGOROVSKY's articles on ethnographical themes and the history of the Mission Society in Kazan. It came to light, that he was a clerk /civil servant/, he lived in Narym in the governorship of Tomsk. His Selkup publications were a part of a mission-work lead by the Society in Kazan. On this account later he was mentioned as a missionary. He died in 1883.
