Tartalmi kivonat:The study is based on Prof. Dr. Miklós Kengyel's work titled „Culture of proceedings", which demonstrates what can experience a laic person during a trial in a formal sense. This research was carried out at the end of the nineteen eighties that is 20 years ago. Therefore developed the decision to examine the present-day status. During the research fifty trials were observed. Experienced phenomena gave evidence of the practice of the Local Court of Szeged from the following aspects: 1) tone of the trials, 2) culture of courtroom speech, 3) keeping the formalities, 4) manifestation of the judicial authority, 5) existence or non-existence of feelings and emotions. In the majority of cases the tone of the trials was official-objective, while almost in a negligible number strict-rigid or tense atmosphere was noticed. The culture of courtroom speech: in the vast majority of cases natural-understandable style (69%), while in a much lesser extent formal-legalistic (13%) style was observed. In connection with the trial leading judge's relationship with keeping the formalities the conclusion is the following: 77% of cases the trials were formal; 15% of cases only the essential procedural rules were kept; 8% of cases the relevant procedural rules were neither kept. The fifth issue was the monitoring of the existence or non-existence of feelings, emotions and situations of metacommunictaion. I intend to extend the study to various judicial forums in Szeged (County Court, Court of Appeal) or national level. With larger research sample, with more results we could prepare documentation with conclusions and constructive proposals for the jurisdiction.
