Tartalmi kivonat:The aim of this paper is to analyse the date and process of the fall of the Hephthalite Empire on the basis of the Greek, Chinese and Muslim sources. The Hephthalites were defeated by the allied forces of Sassanian and Türk Empire. The events were dated to five different periods between 554 and 567 in the historical literature. Analysing the primary sources the events can be reconstructed as follows: the attack against the Hephthalite Empire was launched by the Persian army at the end of 557 early 558. The Türks joined this campaign before 561 perhaps in 558. The Persians reaching the river Oxus (Amu Darya) finished their offensive in 561. The end of the Türk attack can not be determined exactly. It was finished before the end of 568 early 569.
