| Summary: | My thesis is about the battles of the Pacific theatre of World War II The Allied forces (USA and Great Britain) fought against Japan in this theatre. Japan wanted to build an empire, it would seize more and more territory. In the end it imperiled the border of the United States. The USA did not participate in the war. American government could try to cut off the country from the problems of the outside world. But after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor it had to fight against Japan. In the war American troops defended their country and liberated a lot of little islands of the Pacific Ocean. After two atomic attacks Japan surrendered on August 14,1945. |
