Tartalmi kivonat: | Individualpsychology is a method which deals with the relationship between the individual and community. Inside the community each individual should be respected and helped. Every individual is not only a part of the community, but a special, unique member. Each person develops his personality and strives for perfection in his own way. Individualpsychology helps to develop individuals to serve best the community. Discovering individuals in the community is emphasized. The community of a class is a special place, where teachers have to deal with different students at different levels. Standardized teaching, education is the failure of development, especially if gifted, talented children are in the community of the class. Parents' and teachers' responsibility to recognise gifted children in the community. Gifted children need extra attention and care. Parents, teachers should judge what they propose to do is worthwhile, must be confident that children are not wasting their time. Sometimes talented children do not enjoy working with their classmates, they are deliberately uncooperative. Lack of cooperation shows the teacher that the individual is out of the community. Gifted behaviour is a very complex question. Matching individual interests is a difficult problem for teachers to solve, but they can encourage students to do different tasks depending on their abilities. Gifted children must be highly motivated . But teachers are not, however, ultimately responsible for their students' motivation. Real motivation comes from within each individual. „ Self-study" is highly recommended for good learners and talented students; when a sizeable percentage of time is given to „self-study" , in order not to be bored while others need more time to understand and work on a given topic. Talented children need extra attention, flexibility, high motivation and possibility for „self-study" to meet their needs. They can take responsibility for their learning. |
