Using different psychological views of the phenomenon of violence, I will prove that all -human beings including the characters in the novel resort to the inferior defense mechanism of aggression in order to be able to unleash their repressed emotions. Through the change of the male protagonist's character not only will I demonstrate that love if frustrated can easily give its energy to evil but also the evil itself is man's will to destroy. | |
