I will prove that Oscar Wilde searches for the roles and possibilities of the art and artists and concludes that only a Christ-like artist can solve the problem of art of the end of the nineteenth century. I will show in my study that Oscar Wilde's novel can be interpreted on different levels and this multiplicity can be considered as the modernity of the author. My aim is to prove that Wilde succeeded in his ambition to create an own mythology through reviving the miracle of words. | |
