| Tartalmi kivonat: | The Sándor Márai Complex Research Program of the Research Institute for National Strategy aims not only to explore the emigration characteristics of the Hungarians from the Carpathian Basin, but to curb the emigration. As part of the Program, now for the second time, the Institute organized the Károly Kós Camp for Native Land Research and Knowledge, at the foot of Harghita mountain. During the camp, the committed young participants made approximately 300 interviews with the emigration affected communities in 30 settlements, to observe how this phenomenon effects their local society and what are they doing to curb it. The essential factor behind the emigration/staying of young people is whether the local community in which they grew up are able to offer a positive vision, how does it affect the willingness to have children, how much they are bound to or about to escape from the community ("pull" and "push" effect). The study attempts to summarize the junctions and some results of this research. |
