Tartalmi kivonat: | In a psychiatric ward specialized in religion pathology in the National Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Budapest we treated patients whose spiritual and religious life was mixed with psychiatric disorders. Our patients belonged to different kind of religion or spiritual movements. By looking for a practical common denominator of spirituality among them, we found that every religion or spiritual movement aims at the development of the personality of its followers. The main inside root of spirituality is love: to help our or others development. This is a common factor in the different religions and spiritual movements. Our work took place in the context of a therapeutic community and integrated four dimensions of the clinical work (biological, sociotherapeutic, psychotherapeutic and spiritual) – in a Jungian depth psychological framework. |
