Pollen grains of Phoenix sylvestris L. were partially degraded with (he help of 2-aminoethanol and potassium permanganate and were investigated with the TEM. Six stages of degradation in pollen wall were studied. Linear and cyclic molecules arranged in pentagonal and hexagonal symmetry were observed...
