Tartalmi kivonat: | Compliance or adherence to health service provider recommendations is widely considered to be a remarkable factor in health outcomes. It is reported to be in relation not only with patient safety, but health system effectiveness, health costs and the health of populations as well. Although literature results suggest compliance rates to be quite low, results of empirical research show a relatively high compliance in a Hungarian setting. This may be due to the authoritarian characteristic of doctor-patient relationships, but also to the effect of measuring only intentions, not actual behaviour – which is a general problem of compliance-measurement methods. |
