Tartalmi kivonat:The purpose of this study is to identify long-range transport patterns that may have an important influence on PMio levels in four European cities at different latitudes, namely those in Thessaloniki (Greece), Szeged (Hungary) and Helsinki and Oulu (Finland). Calculations were performed on the methodological bases presented in Part 1 and the results are shown in this part It was found that for Thessaloniki, Szeged and Helsinki, clusters of the trajectory positions originating from North Africa and/or the Sahara are strongly associated with the highest PMio episodes, though with a different frequency. Furthermore, two statistical indices were used to estimate PMio exceedances for the clusters retained for each city.
